Brow Lift

The lifting of the upper third of the face involves two operations:

The forehead lift which corrects the sagging of the upper third of the face: the forehead and the middle and middle part of the eyebrows. It also helps to reduce forehead wrinkles and wrinkles between the eyebrows, more commonly known as frown lines.
The temporal lift corrects the fall of the lateral end of the eyebrow, the tail of the eyebrow. He can also correct crow’s feet wrinkles located at the corner of the eyes by slightly tightening the skin located at the level of the external part of the eye and the orbit.

These interventions are not intended to modify the features but to reposition the anatomical structures, the forehead and the eyebrows, in the position they had a few years earlier. On the other hand, the frontal lifting and the temporal lifting, often associated in fronto-temporal lifting allow a radical and definitive correction contrary to the injection of botulinum toxin, treatment of aesthetic medicine which will allow the same corrections, but to a lesser extent and only temporarily (3 to 6 months).

These two facelifts can be performed separately but in practice they are often associated with each other. They can also be combined with other aesthetic surgery procedures (cervicofacial lifting, centro-facial lifting, blepharoplasty and lipostructure or lipofilling of the face) or aesthetic medicine treatments (dermabrasion, laser, peeling, injection of hayluronic acid ).

When associated with aesthetic surgery of the upper eyelids or blepharoplasty, they make it possible to limit the quantity of skin to be removed at the level of the upper eyelid and the length of the scar because they will at least partially correct the excess skin in lifting the forehead and eyebrows.

The forehead lift as the temporal lift can be performed by short incisions under endoscopy.

The fronto-temporal facelift can be performed for both women and men from the age of 40.

After these interventions the aging of the face will continue. Maintenance with specific treatments for the epidermis (laser, pulsed lamps, etc.) and with injections (botulinum toxin, fillers) will help maintain the result for longer. A new intervention, often more moderate, may sometimes be necessary.
