Forehead Lift

The process of raising the eyebrows (Browlift) and / or forehead lift (Forehead lift) is a surgery that offers renewal and rejuvenation of the face as well as the removal of wrinkles which removes the old sad and tired expression of your face. This can be achieved using either traditional techniques such as open surgery or minimally invasive endoscopic methods.

These techniques provide repair or removal of muscles in the eye area to give your eyebrows a more uniform contour and a younger and fresher look. Browlift as well as forehead lift can often be applied in combination with other procedures such as facelift and eyelid surgery to improve the appearance of other facial surfaces.

Forehead lift is usually applied to patients aged 40-60 years to combat the effects of aging which causes loss of skin elasticity in the forehead area due to repetitive muscle activity or due to the appearance of hereditary characteristics (wrinkles).

To make sure you need an eyebrow lift, you can stand in front of your mirror, place your palms on the skin of the area in the middle of your eyebrows and pull it up as if pulling the skin on your forehead.

The straightening of the eyebrows as well as the forehead can be applied with the usual methods of surgery in which the incision is made just below the imaginary line of your hair. In patients who have thinning hair or have baldness or have had previous head surgery, the incision may be shifted to a lesser extent so that it is less noticeable.

The second method that can be applied is the use of a minimally invasive procedure during which an endoscope consisting of a microscopic camera is used and many microscopic incisions are applied. The above two methods provide similar results that offer a nicer and more beautiful face contour. The most appropriate choice is made in consultation with your surgeon to learn more details.

Endoscopic eyebrow and forehead straightening

For many patients, an endoscopic facelift represents a relatively inexpensive, convenient alternative to traditional cosmetic surgery. Because the endoscopic approach is less invasive, it also involves fewer risks and a shorter recovery period than conventional facelifts.

It can therefore be an effective way to minimize the common signs of aging on the face and neck, while avoiding many of the difficulties associated with cosmetic surgery.

The main difference between this technique and the classic method is the procedure where the surgeon makes three small incisions (less than 3 cm in length) just behind the hairline. The endoscope is placed in the incision having access under the skin without having to widen the incision so that the skin is split and the muscle is repaired through the other incisions. At the end of the lift the eyebrows are fixed in the right places. The incisions are subjected to special treatment through the application of gauze or bandage.

Unlike the classic eyebrow and forehead lift technique, patients may experience numbness and discomfort in the incision area. The numbness may subside and be followed by a mild itching (itching) for up to 6 months. The patches are removed after 1 to 2 days and the sutures or clips after two weeks.

There is a possibility that at the point of incision the hair will fall out or fall out and their normal growth will return after several weeks or months. Either of the 2 methods will allow you to wash your hair after 2 to 4 days and return to work after 7 to 10 days. The swelling and bruising will disappear within three weeks.
