The minilifting intervention
The facelift is the surgical procedure by which the skin and underlying muscular structures of the face are lifted and stretched to reduce and / or eliminate wrinkles and folds of the face and neck.
With this intervention the lost freshness is restored to the face as the skin must not be stretched but “relaxed” giving the appearance of a person “in shape” without wide eyes and tight mouth!
Thanks to the increasing demand for facial surgery, progress in this field in recent years has been remarkable.
To meet the needs of patients, not only on the skin, a “tension” action is also required on the muscles, so modern lifting must necessarily be cutaneous-muscular to have a long-lasting result.
Modern cosmetic surgery involves minimally invasive and comfortable surgical procedures for patients, therefore fast and minimally invasive for which we will talk about SECTORAL LIFTING OR MINILIFTING.
With this setting, patients will have less discomfort with minimal and invisible scarring. It should be noted that for any facelift it is not necessary to cut the hair.
Surgical technique and method
Before the operation, a thorough medical examination is required to rule out diseases that may contraindicate the operation.
Laboratory tests (blood, urine) and an electrocardiogram will be required.
Minilifting Type “A” (Temporal Sector)
This surgery is able to correct the fall of the tail of the eyebrow and smooth out the so-called “crow’s feet” wrinkles.
For this sectoral lifting of the temporal region, the surgical technique consists in making a small incision, hidden in the hair, in the region of the temple through which the eyebrow is raised to its natural height.
After creating an accurate symmetry of the gaze, the small wound is sutured.
The scar will be hidden in the hair, therefore invisible.
The duration of this intervention is about 40 minutes.
After surgery, a bandage is placed in the temporal region to be worn for 48 hours.
Stitch removal occurs after 7-9 days.
Minilifting Type “B” (CHEEK-CHEEK SECTOR)
The lifting of sector “B” of the face affects the middle third of the face, creating a muscle-cutaneous distension at the level of the cheekbones, cheek and nasolabial fold (skin furrow that starts from the corner of the nostril and continues up to the corner of the mouth).
To access the optimal repositioning of these structures, an incision is made that is lost in the hair at the back and therefore not visible.
Through this incision, the relaxed muscles and skin are gently stretched, making cheekbones and cheeks very natural.
The duration of the intervention is about 60 minutes.
The face will be bandaged for approximately 48 hours.
The stitches will be removed after 6-10 days.
