10 rules to remember about the health of our eyes

In summary: the eyes are our most important sensory organ and their protection is crucial. To this end, it is important to follow the following recommendations:

  • Do not expose your eyes to excessive light stimuli – wear sunglasses outdoors, and in front of the screens – protective ones
  • If possible, reduce the time spent in front of a monitor and screen with its own light
  • Include in your diet enough antioxidants, vitamin A, zinc, as well as foods containing the visual pigments lutein and zeaxanthin
  • To keep our eyes clean if we use contact lenses – to take care of their adequate maintenance
  • Do not use irritating and / or allergenic cosmetics
  • Drink plenty of fluids and essential omega-3 fatty acids to ensure normal tear film composition
  • Avoid excessive use of air conditioners, including in the car, as well as other appliances that severely dry the air
  • To provide rest to the eyes in case of increased load, as well as enough sleep
  • To make a habit of doing exercises that allow the eye to regain its capabilities and not get tired
  • Let’s not forget that in the presence of a more serious problem it is best to seek medical help from a specialist. If we suffer or are at increased risk of an eye disease – to do preventive ophthalmological examinations.

    Using an eye-gel into my eyes before going to sleep is the BEST, I have Sjogrens, the biggest issue is dry eye.
    Not much information here about HOW to get rid of dry eye “NATURALLY”.

    I am 75 I have been listening to a doctor Bob on the radio for years and he always recommended can’t see eyedrops so I decided it was time that stuff is amazing and also there are vitamins that your eyes need that are also amazing no more dry eye

    99% of med schools dont understand regeneration yet and thats why they cant solve it. I noticed when I blink one eye at a time I cannot completely close left eyelid but when right or both are closed there is no gap.

    I am hypothyroidic. It causes dry eyes. I use drops but it’s not enough. I’d love to know if any rx would help.
